I see where they make silver and gold coins into rings and the stamping is still visible I think it’s pretty cool looking check it out on YouTube.

Same here many reasons I don’t wear my ring it’s just a good aid in losing a finger or cutting the ring off someday. My hands swell up from work and I’m always working.

Run Wolfie run! Ride those tubs a couple years, see the water and the world. Make a future, then make a marriage. She will wait.

So just outta curiosity how much did y'all drop on a ring and how long did it take to find one before your popped the question? Been looking going on 6months now and man just cant find one I think would be good, got a millions different designs, also she told if I spend more than $800 and she finds out she'll turn me into a steer at this point I'm just going to buy 4 different $200 ones and just have them all when I ask Anyway what about yall Rings are cheap. It's the divorce that get expensive.

Wife lost the diamond out of hers, and I kept "ovaling" my gold band on things like headcatch lever, post drivers and big wrenches. We both got silicone rings, and we love them. Been married 22 years btw Here's the best advice I can give you Wolfie: A lot of guys never realize that a great marriage is not about finding the right person, it's about being the right person. That's pretty good advice. Your future bride has visions and expectations engrained in her brain of what marriage will be like. It's most likely not grounded in reality. It could be the same for you. Make sure you are both willing to accept that before putting a ring on her finger. As far as buying a ring, you can purchase a diamond (center stone) from a wholesaler like James Allen.com for 50% of what you would pay for the same stone at a retail store. Just make sure it is GIA certified so you are comparing apples to apples. I bought the center stone from a wholesaler and the setting from a local mom & pop jewelry store. Ring appraisals are seldom accurate with respect to what their market value is. However, they are useful for insurance reasons incase it is ever lost or stolen. ol dad

Got married in 2000. She chose her ring because she is the one who wears it every day. Cost around $1,200.00. I got a simple gold band. I have it on a necklace and never wear it on my finger.
The place where weddings get crazy is the reception. We had a modest reception at a public park. It was a catered pig roast and families could let their kids run around the park. We got married in the morning, reception over lunch, dancing until 4:00 pm. That way all of our guests from out of town could drive home and save on a hotel room. People say it was the best wedding they even went to because it was laid back.

I could turn you a ring out on my lathe. Steel, copper, brass or I've even got some aluminum if you want one light weight. You name it, I got it.
I'll need your ring size and your choice of metal you want it cut out of.
$120 $119 shipped CONUS!
If you want it personalized I could do some engraving with a Dremel tool (eternally yours or I love you sugar box or blah blah blah...), but that will be extra.
