Shakeyjake trapper Joined: Jun 2022 Posts: 1,773 Manitoba	I thought they wore seal fur hats. Alaska State Troopers show that was on TV showed them in seal hats. Can’t beat fur on the noggin. Wind just cuts right through a good toque.

otterman trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,741 SW Alaska	They can purchase and wear their own seal hats if they desire my wife has probably sold 15 or more to troopers over the years they are looking for ones to made to issue with standard gear We get out of life only as much as we really want and work hard enough to achieve

victor#0 trapper Joined: Apr 2018 Posts: 764 Bush Alaska	The article mentioned some troopers purchase their own trapper hats from locals so some might wear seal but the ones I've seen in Eastern Interior weren't seal. Either way I'm glad they are supporting fur and trappers, when I see someone wearing fur I thank them for supporting trappers.
