Does Maine have a population of homeless citizens?

Probably fewer in the Winter. You can tell who they are. They are the Blue ones.

Was out in Maine visiting my son this past fall. On the way back to the airport in Portland I noticed a "camp" there near the interstate. Son said there were upwards of 300 people at that time.

The reason I posted this is I read an article where a city in Maine is building housing for illegals to live in rent free. I have to wonder why this can't be done for Americans I mean after all it's our tax dollars doing this. I am sure there are enough homeless vets and elderly they could help out.

The problem is that Demonrats hate Americans and despise our veterans!! But they sure do love their Illegal Criminals.

This is all true and it is infuriating. And yes there was a homeless encampment set up in a couple locations that the city would periodically sweep up and tear down but that just pushed them to a different location. What I don’t understand is there is a law against public camping in the city of portland but we let this go on for the entire summer fall and now into winter. The housing you are talking about is happening about 30 mile north of the city of portland in the town of brunswick on the former air force base. Seriously though we have enough Americans with problems that should be helped first I just dont get it
