Bc the appraisal on my rent house is around 50 k but I can sell it for 165k. So it's true value is what I can sell it for not its assessed value.

I can also insure it for more than it's worth.

Trumps resort/private club pays property tax based on revenue not value, one of 9 like that. 2 real estate agents from the area said the selling price would be between 300 and 600 million with the upside of a 1 billion. The property was turned into a private club to keep expenses down and I'm sure could be sold as a private home with the tax bill at about 18 million. So it appears Trump is telling the truth as apposed to some here as well as most Trump haters.

I was told a long time ago, in a value dispute, the owner is entitled to claim it is worth whatever he thinks it is. Even in court. What matters next is credibility of the claim. I know of one property the owner claimed damages 20X what it was worth and won.....in court. The state didn't sue him for misrepresentation. They paid him.

If the state of NY thinks misrepresentation of value on financial statement is bad, what other person in entire history of state of NY has State of NY hauled into court for the same reason?
