Your next flight may be under the control of a blind, deaf, paralyzed air traffic controller

Maybe Joe can get a job at the airport after the election

That and considering the quality ( or lack there of ) of planes they're putting out nowadays I'm not to keen on doing any more flying!!!

Baggage handling is the responsibility of each airline. Not FAA

Reasonably sure that baggage handlers are not Federal employees. Largely contract labor anymore.

Wonder why the specific positions that the FAA is looking to fill with the new diversity standards are not mentioned. Surely not going to put them in positions like ATC, right? crazy

Better in the tower than the cockpit!

Do you think that the airlines are not filling positions based on diversity hiring goals?

No way! Neither is a good option, IMO.

I believe that it is not a good thing to discriminate against disabled people ( full disclosure: I am one) but I also believe that a disability should NOT be the reason someone is hired.

For the life of me I can't imagine what position a blind, deaf, paralyzed person could fill at FAA.

That person belongs in Congress

Liberal woke policy-makers don't care about putting regular folks' lives in danger. It's all about getting the agenda implemented no matter how much it lacks commonsense and practicality.

Eh...wot?

grin Congress indeed.

I don't think this attempt will "fly"....the airlines surely will "see" right away the lawsuits and repercussions of that. I imagine word would of a mishap would spread like wildfire and the airline would immediately lose customers. It should, anyway.

Yeah, white17, a friend sent me that quote and I thought he was getting it from the Babylon Bee but obviously not.

Maybe its a way for the global elite to get fewer people flying so "we" can cut emissions? Just scare people away from passenger planes and thus less flights. Probably won't matter as fewer and fewer of the common folks won't be able to afford the cost of plane tickets in a few years during the next economic depression...

I can see somebody in a wheelchair doing air traffic control, but the rest would be a pretty big stretch.

Maybe they have openings in the "Custodial Arts" department.

I have nothing clever to put here.
