Put a LR in it and it won't extract it. My guess is there is a carbon ring where the shorter casing ends. Same with longer bird shot brass? Carbon rings can be cleaned out, what you have is a corrosive hot gas bell out, the case will expand to fill the groove and get's stuck. Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon. I bought a few boxes off a auction for $3 a box to haul to the gun shows and at $3 a box if there had been 100 boxes, I would have bought them all, and never shot one.
