Bblwi. Yes this area is diverse. Like this every year. I usually have a grey or 2 on camera every year but they move when the apples dissapear before season opened. This year we had a ton of apples and were on the ground a lot later. I believe that's why they stuck around longer.

Thanks Raghorn, Adc and Lawdog. Adc. The pictures aren't bad to post once I did what you showed in the video, they wouldn't upload earlier because of the size.

Congrats.

I grew up hunting, trapping fox and have killed 100s.
Now days, I feel kinda remorseful seeing pics of them killed as they are dang near extinct here nowadays.
Decent colored coon.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

I hope they are here to stay, I like to see them also. If I notice the population is low in my areas I let the ones I can go for a year or two. I only took 1 last year in this area, the rest got a pass. I have a place 2 hours north of me that's all coyotes and no fox.

I seem to get about one red every other year but I do try to avoid them when possible. Think it’s been 4-5 years since I caught the last grey. Across the parts of the state I’ve dabbled in this year the coyote population is about same as last five or so years in my opinion but that would be quite low. Id think that has to help reds especially over longer period. Not sure if you see the same but they are pretty much in pockets here. Find a pair that raised a family someplace that has enough safety for them. Then they seem to spread out a little but once run out of cover I dont see them or sign of them. I sorta miss those old days when you could catch 40 in a week but on the other hand I find them sorta boring at same time.

Exactly. I missed 4 years of trapping and decided life is too short to give up something I like doing. I only had 12 sets out this year.

I don't catch a lot of grey's but they are consistently around. The coyote population is definitely low around my house. I have other areas most of them within 5 miles that I didn't trap this season. So I'm not sure if there are better numbers on some of those farms. I deer hunt around Twinning and hear them all the time there.

I do see pockets of fur. I notice the fox around here stay closer to houses vs deeper in the woods where most coyote like to roam.

There isn't much to look at for put up. Some fox are in a pickle bath for tanning and I don't turn my pelts fur out because I tan everything. Here's the best I can do. [Linked Image]
