I grew up hunting, trapping fox and have killed 100s.
Now days, I feel kinda remorseful seeing pics of them killed as they are dang near extinct here nowadays.

This was an exceptional year for fox, I usually catch 2 or 3 from this area. There is 1 more a 1/4 mile down the road but in leaving that one alone. Coyotes seem to be down this year, maybe why there is more fox?

looks like you did well, I have not missed a season since I was 9-10, some years only 6-10 traps, but I was still out there,

I seem to get about one red every other year but I do try to avoid them when possible. Think it’s been 4-5 years since I caught the last grey. Across the parts of the state I’ve dabbled in this year the coyote population is about same as last five or so years in my opinion but that would be quite low. Id think that has to help reds especially over longer period. Not sure if you see the same but they are pretty much in pockets here. Find a pair that raised a family someplace that has enough safety for them. Then they seem to spread out a little but once run out of cover I dont see them or sign of them. I sorta miss those old days when you could catch 40 in a week but on the other hand I find them sorta boring at same time.
