It's like rats leaving a sinking ship right now. The transfer portal is out of control. Kayden Proctor is going to Iowa, where he should have gone to start with.

Not just bama, every team is having players leave right and left, it's a mess and college football has been ruined forever.

Yep the transfer portal is a horrible thing for college football, and I think you’ll see this whenever a coach leaves a school now as players go to the school for the coach not for academia.

College football is not even worth watching anymore, same with basketball.

No doubt Saban saw the writing on the wall and got out with his reputation intact.

The rest of this falls under category of "be careful what you ask for.......you might get it". Turning college ball into professional ball without the contract rules the pro's use.....is not going to end well. Rough road ahead until they get it sorted out.

The Transfer Portal window closed Jan 2, 2024.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I believe there is a 30 day window after a coach leaves.

That's been going on for at least 40 years. I went to two different colleges because of the coaches that recruited me. I was not alone in that regard. It's just easier to do now. (And a lot more profitable.)

I didn't know about it being extended if the coach leaves, thanks for the info. I am feeling better. Thanks for asking.

hard to keep up with nitty, they seem to change the rules monthly now! It's all out of control now, not sure how much longer i'll even bother to watch college ball, no team or school loyalty anymore makes me not want to be a loyal fan either, if the player's don't give a rip why should I? That said i like this new coach, i think Saban stayed about 2 years too long honestly, program seemed to be stale for lack of a better word, intested to see what this new coach full of energy can accomplish. Plus he actually has a personality unlike blah blah blah Saban who said the same thing for 17 years.

Read today that the barners were rolling their own yard again when they heard Saban was retiring.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Barner's got their own problems they need to worry about. Bama just got a 6'6 230 lb. QB. 2 O linemen touring the place this weekend, all of them from the old Washington team, appears new coach is putting the band back together, just in a different state.
