Thanks fellers! Looking forward to start hocking up green loogies any day now. Going in tomorrow to have another x-ray to make sure it isn't getting worse.
I actually feel fine. No pain at all until I cough, and even the intensity of that has decreased. I still have a wheeze at the end of an exhale from time to time, but a controlled cough clears it up.
I do much better in that regard if I stay off the couch and do something.
I only have it on one side according to the x-ray which probably explains why I don't have trouble breathing.

I got it after covid. In one lung not both. Gave me antibiotics and prednisone. Prednisone shot my blood sugar WAY up. I quit taking it. Couldn't breathe to good for awhile. made some saur kraut when I was done with the antibiotic to replace gut bacteria. Doc been after me to get a shot now. No good answers to questions so no shot. Same dr that gave me prednisone knowing I am diabetic.

Got back from the doctor today for a follow up x-ray. Turns out that I don't have pneumonia after all. They asked me if anyone had called me to tell me that yesterday. Nope.
Apparently I did not take a deep enough breath to fully expand my lungs on Thursday which gave a bad view of what was in there.
I saw a comparison between the two x-rays and they are world apart from each other. I'm sure that I didn't take a deep enough breath on Thursday, because when I did today, it was all I could to not choke on it.
They say that I have bronchitis and told me to continue with the meds that they prescribed on Thursday as it will help clear up the bronchitis faster and help prevent it from becoming pneumonia down the road.
I'll back in the beaver swamps before you know it!

Yes, you should always remember to breathe, Carl.

Forgetting to do so can lead to dire health consequences.

Thanks Billy! I tend not to do the right thing and try to tough it out. Glad I didn't this time. I ain't 25 anymore. I'm well into my 30s. Have been for going on 30 years. (That would be a good math story problem for the children in school. smile )

beaverpeeler - had the shot cpl yrs ago and thought one time thing; gotta ck on that given what you said

Boco - yes have this understanding that if you get it then easier to get after that because of previous damage

Another grief saver is supposed to be get shingles shot. Had 2 of those a few mths apart and that is supposed to be it.
