KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Champaign County, Ohio.	The gall wasp larvae make the leaves fall off, damage thin stems and weaken the immunity of the tree. Usually other issues then kill the tree. The lumber from the oak trees should be good as long as it is harvested before or soon after the tree dies. Keith
