Get well, take it easy and just recuperate. I had a health scare prior to Xmas, blood clot in artery behind my knee. They fixed me up and I killed a buck 3 days later, just wish they would have found the cause of the problem.

Ablation for me in 2017. Tranquilizer for that. Or anesthesia! No problems since. Take pills!

along with findings two major lesions.

They used a balloon on a wire up the artery from my wrist
to access the spot, along with some kind of sonic wave gizmo
to pummel the calcium plaque out of the way to install two much
larger stents.

Every time the Doctor hit the trigger on that sonic wave thingy I could
feel the snapping/clicking sound & feeling in my brain.

It was kind of spooky & un-nerving but I made it through in
good shape with no stroke, major bleeding, or cardiac event.

The Doc put me on PLAVIX & 81 mm aspirin for a month.

This morning the doctor called & directed me to take seven (7)
PLAVIX pills at once in addition to the one I had already taken
earlier in the morning.

Can't use my right arm for a week & no lifting over 50 lbs for a month.

Don't yet feel any different (positively) but feel very tired.

Time to go lay down & take another nap.

Best of luck Walleyed ! Sure hope you can be comfortable and get the rest you need.

I don't envy you having to swallow those 81 mm aspirins. That would be like trying to swallow a mortar round ! You gotta be tough !

Walleyed, happy to see everything went well for you. Heart problems can be scary. It's really amazing the technology

Wow, glad to hear they are correcting the problem and you are in recovery. Take care and good luck. I can identify since I just had 4 stents put in 3 weeks ago. Weird to watch the stents get put in on the screen. Mine had to go through my femoral artery.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I'm now lugging around seven (7) titanium ? stents
in my heart plumbing that are MRI compatible.

At least I think they are constructed of titanium.

Wonder if they will set off a metal detector ?

I take Warfarin now due to afib. I was told the ablation for afib was more complicated than the ablation I had for the atrial flutter since they go into the left atrium instead of the right atrium. It was about a 3 hour procedure where as the ablation for the atrial flutter was only about an hour. They also said it was only about 50% effective. I've also considered this fairly new procedure called Watchman.

I worked for 18 years as a senior manufacturing supervisor for a heart catheter manufacturer.. Most stents.. are made of stainless steel. The electrodes on diagnostic heart catheters are
titanium.
