so if you didn't know it was happening you would just be breathing and slowly expire from lack of oxygen then there would certainly be some flopping from the nerves involuntarily.

knowing it was happening and wanting to make the biggest show of it he could , he held his breath as long as he possibly could and thrashed about at some point your body won't let you not breath.

I actually don't care how he was executed it is better than he gave his victim

but understand he and his spiritual advisor and anyone in his corner were looking to make the biggest show of it possible.

guillotine or firing squad is probably the best option but people raise issues with mutilating the body

strap them down , sheet over the body , 5 12ga shotguns aimed 2 at head 3 at chest all firing electronically at the time of execution

no one pulls the trigger or pushes the button , just shells are loaded 2 minutes out and at 30 seconds out safety on firing mechanisms removed then at time the clock does the deed.
one box of buck shot 5 rounds all at once focused on the heart and brain. but with different angles wouldn't be a difficult thing to build at all

Now think about this. He beat the woman to death with a fire poker and lawyers appealed his death sentence for 34 YEARS!!!

How many nation wide are considered the worst of the worst and have a death sentence and those states that had or have a death penalty and is costs millions to let them live out their life with no chance of release just so the moral majority is happy ,my question is why?

In Cuba after the court finds you guilty of a capital offense (which includes armed robbery and rape) you face a firing squad the following morning.

Killed himself a week after he had his wife murdered. So I guess he did get something similar.

The victim or the victim's family should be able to choose the method of execution. And it should rapidly follow the sentencing.

I think.... suspending him in a cage ..above the water at low tide...seems fitting.

Death row inmates should be humanely executed by a vet, who does this every day.

I have no sympathy for ken smith or what he finally got as his just reward.

For the most part, mankind is capable of dealing with undesirable life forms pretty harshly. Weeds in the garden......mean dogs........varmints in general. What we seem incapable of is dealing with other humans in the same way. Hard wired to respect the lives of others, even though in general, the life of another human is mostly meaningless to us. The people you meet on the street.....or pass by on the sidewalk......if they were to wink out 2 minutes later......we would not know or care.

The same could be said of all the thugs society has to deal with. There are 8 billion people on the planet........if guys like Ken Smith were to simply disappear.......nobody would miss him. No? What was the name of the goofy NYC subway perp who the marine put in a choke hold and died? Who misses him? My guess is nobody.

What we don't have is an orderly, societal accepted method of hitting the delete button for these pukes. Parking a 9mm in their brain pan would be the quick and painless method, but who gets to make that call? Or has to live with that on their conscious? Ideally, they would off themselves, but the only life that matters to them is their own.
