There's been a lot of studies into the cause of the fall but we can't seem to learn from them. Human nature I guess. The short version of it is the general population becomes lazy and complacent and the powerful becomes corrupt. Those are the major factors anyway. The easy living causes self centeredness from the top to the bottom. We have moved more towards a democracy and if you want some good learning one should read about the effects of democracies though history and what our founding fathers thought of democracies and why they didn't one one.

Will say the biggest difference between a republic like we had and a democracy is in our republic we have given individual rights and freedoms that can't be taken away and in a true democracy the majority can make the laws and individuals have no guaranteed freedoms or rights unless the majority grant them. Next natural step after Democracy is socialism then dictatorship.

I dont think Biden is the boogy man. Others are pulling the strings. Who are the "people back east"? Why is there no release of the client list? Who all is being blackmailed? Who is profiting from the untold billions a year in narcotic trafficking? Why are we told to feel empathy for deadbeats and contempt for people who have made honest money? That stuff doesn't just happen on its own. Its not because Americans are immoral or lazy. It is I believe a deliberate deception. The question is who are the deceivers? The use of the plural of deceiver was deliberate. Its not just one or two people.

I'd disagree on the immoral AND the lazy. People who think murdering babies, choosing your own sex, and physically mutilating children ARE immoral. And people who are healthy as a horse but refuse to look for work because the government will provide them what they need ARE lazy. And those are the people who voted in what we have now.
