Well, I finally got my suppressor and it is a game changer. Already shot a few critters with it and one I missed at 40yds…rushed the shot because it surprised the heck out of me, but it acted as though I hadn’t even shot. Just turned around and went about 10 yards and then turned back around and looked again. Second shot didn’t miss. I know with 1000% certainty that had I not had the suppressor it would have been in the next county before it quit running.
Now before anyone jumps to conclusions it’s not “whisper” quiet. I’m shooting 165gr Core-Lokts out of a .308, lol. But I can tell you that sound is NOTHING like shooting unsuppressed. I can actually hear the bullet hit the targets. What’s even better is I didn’t have to move my POA!!! It is .5” low at 100yds but I can live with that until the new rifle comes in. I’m waiting on the Gen2 Ruger American…yeah it’s in .308 as well.
Also, the recoil isn’t even noticeable. That’s actually the first thing I realized with the first trigger pull. The sound, or lack thereof, was next.
So if anyone is up in the air about suppressors, my advice is to try one out. I can’t imagine anyone shooting one and saying that’s not for me.

Everyone I ever let shoot mine love them. The wait and paperwork bs stops most from getting them. Had all mine over 10 years need to get some more stamps in the mail. None of the models I have are even made any more. I don't even like shooting without one.

Yeah, I’m already looking at a couple more. I should’ve just ordered them all at once. They definitely aren’t something you buy wanting it right away.

Photos and finger printing is like being arrested. And not necessary when buying the gun that does the shooting. But Is for a piece of pipe that's a only light club without the gun.

Heck I’ve been photographed and finger printed for work, lol. Make pretty decent money for a criminal. Guess I just look at it differently. To each his own. If they threw a thermal in for free with the suppressor, I’d send them my little finger with the paperwork.

I do consider that being treated like a criminal. Can't see any good reason why the red tape is necessary for a firearm accessory. Makes no sense at all.

Since I have never been finger printed or sent in photos for any of my NFA items. I don't see why it's necessary now. And it's not like I can't walk into a gun shop and walk out in 20 mins with all I need to do harm if that was intended. But to have to buy an item fill out the form 4 sent in prints and photos then wait a year to get my item that is harmless without the firearm. Well it's nuts . Most are ok because they get their cool guy gear and it's like being in a special club. Also why I have not sent any stamps in since the 41p rule change.

It has never been about need.

I find that shooting without one is now irritating. Especially plinking or target shooting.

When you don't know what you are missing you don't know what you are missing. I can let you in just a little. 30% reduction in recoil, comfortable shooting without ear plugs. Being able to hear bullets strike game ( sounds like when they are hit with an arrow. Missing out on hearing loss. . best shooting accessory I have ever had to increase enjoyment.
