Value Village is a thrift store monopoly in most state on the west side

I found a Bible, that was Gideon Societys, for the hill camp.

Fist page says this Bible is not to be sold.

I asked the manager about a discount of free.

I grew up on vacations in cheap motels with the Gideon and a phone book

I am about sure God is not in the hearts of the younger generation of our country.

I am contacting the Gideon Society with pictures, I hope they pursue the matter.

Anyone with a face, twiter, UTub or other account that wants to share these pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I understand your disgust. If I give you a high value trap with instructions not to sell it once I give it away it's no longer mine and you can sell it if you choose and I can't make any claim other than to your integrity. Now if that trap sat and changed hands many times before someone decided to sell it again sure gifting it is may seem like the right thing to do but it is theirs to do as they want. Would you rather they throw it in the trash or burn it? I. The other hand people willing to pay even a small amount for something likely may take care of it and read it .

Yes it's sad but it's theirs and their choice in what to do with it. That's part of giving things away you no longer have any say in what is done with it it's no longer yours regardless of what you print in it.

For 4 bucks maybe someone will pick it up and it will do them some good. It's amazing that bible has avoided the trash. Definatley won't do anyone any good there.

Yup! Shoulda bought it and gave it away to someone. We aren’t supposed to fight evil with evil. Just get the Word in the hands of those who need it, $4 is a small price to pay for the salvation offered in those pages. God will deal the justice that needs dealt.

My local thrift store doesn't charge for Bibles. It's called Page one thrift.

i just find it weird someone would be giving it to such a store to start with, unless it just happened to be in a box of stuff that would of been doomed for the dumpster otherwise. I dont think thrift stores generally pay a lot of attention to the things they are given anyways.

My mom and dad were very active in the Gideons organization. We would always gift a monetary donation for friends and family when they passed. The donations are used to purchase and print new bibles to distribute. I still have many small pocket-sized bibles to pass out as I see fit.
