I've been catchin some whoppers and the glands are gettin big. Been saving them up to add in homemade canine bait. I know they're no beaver castor but how potent are rat glands?

Can't trap them here in the spring but I've picked up roadkills and took the glands out. I couldn't believe how strong and perfume like they were the first time I smelled them

Our season goes till the end of Feb. But i doubt i'll go much longer on them as they must be some wicked beasts in the rat rut because most of the bigger males are torn up pretty bad.

Rat glands are a very musky sweet odor. Not a very strong odor but quite pleasant and mild compared to castor. They are a good ingredient for most any formula..
