How well do wolf fangs work in extremely soft and then the opposite in very rocky ground? I use a 12” chained super stake and they work good. I’m looking for an option for the times I want to just leave stakes in the ground like on snares so reuse them is not an issue. I’d also like to have a good backup option for if I ever run into softer ground on an out of state trip but could still be used in the rocky ground around home. I’d like you hear some opinions and what y’all are using.

They do alright in muck clay bank around beaver swamps here. Not rock solid like in dry ground but they hold beaver and remain pullable.

They make an oversized wolf fang just for soft ground.

In Soft ground go as deep as you can to set them, a custom driver would give you longer options than the stock drivers. I lost a badger last month with a shorter cable made for yotes in a soft stock dam bank.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Bout the only place around here with nice soft ground is in the old lady down the road’s flower bed lol. You either get rocks, shale, or very wet clay.

If leaving in ground switch to chain. I've had cable rust away in just a few weeks in our acid soil.

I use wolf fangs in all kinds of soil. Always work good for me. I use 20” of cable and they hold good in the washes. Sometimes in the river rock and sand stone they will only drive 3/4 of the way but still hold good!!!!

May God bless you and yours
