Just thought you guys might be interested in this. The thread on the ITA cage trapping video triggered the memory because they are still using the wrong ITA logo and I doubt if any of the current directors even know that. I was on the ITA board for most of the 1980's.

Back in the mid-1980's I brought up the issue of the crude-looking ITA logo at one of the board meetings. I thought it should be updated to something that looks more professional. The board agreed and gave me the task of putting together some new options. I had a local artist create a couple new logos to choose from, with a better looking mink in it and some different fonts that were more updated.

I brought them to the board meeting and the board voted on them and chose a new logo, which was much improved over the old one. Anna Marie Scalf was in charge of submitting the new logo to the trapper magazine, getting it changed on the letterheads, banners, etc. But she didn't like the new logo, so she never did what she was instructed to do. Here we are 40 years later still using the wrong logo.

That's a shame Bern B.
We have judges in NY like that now too.

Can you provide me with the new logo options you came up with? Also, please let me know which design change the board voted on and approved for use too.

Thanks for your help and the information.

I don't have it any more, but it should be in the archives and minutes.

For what it's worth, Greg Rizzo was the Winnebago County Conservation board director at that time and he also raised mink. His wife, Linda was an artist and she's the one who designed the new mink on the new logo.
