My buddy Bronco and another coworkers cousin caught this kitty at a bait site. It’s out towards Swan River somewhere. The COs collared and released it. Pretty crazy!

That one is a little too frisky to look for fleas in my opinion.

Hmmm..., I'm suspect.

I see zero evidence of that cat caught in a trap.

No catch circle/ disturbances?

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

Maybe it's my eyes messing with me but looks like the front right leg is being held back by a foothold.

Thanks Scott.
I didn't watch the video until you mentioned it.
My bad.

Guessing it hadn't been in the trap long?

Why the release? Are they protected there? Figure if you can harvest wolves...lions would be ok to take also.

There has been a population of cougars in the south central part of Manitoba for decades, I don't think it would be unusual for one to get to Swan River. Turtle Mountains to Riding mountains to Duck Mountains. They really travel.

I'll bet there's more.

Biiiig Nono killing one of those here. When there’s sightings or a farmer loses livestock it seems like it’s kinda kept quiet. Some gov people say there’s none here, but the outdoors guys and the COs all know. Then there’s the old rumour that MPI (our Crown operated insurance agency) introduced them to lower the deer collision rates…lol
