My first post here on the forum - but did read the forum regularly as a guest. I spent the last 5 weeks feeling like I was rode hard and put away wet - hands equally swollen so bad I lost grip/movement then the ankles did the same then moved to one knee. Went to my MD doctor and was ordered to a group of blood test that check for RA and other markers - tests revealed extreme inflammation in my blood which worried the doctor extremely because I nearly died a 1 1/2 year ago of sepsis. Did more blood test which included the Lyme Disease test. Verdict is advanced stage of Lyme disease and now on a course of Prednisone - 40mg per day down to 5 mg per day for 16 plus days or until they get a solid lead of what's going on. Has anybody had Lyme Disease that got this bad? Was Prednisone prescribed or something less evil. I'm almost 70 years old and have worked and lived in the outdoors all my life. Please share your experience. Thanks!

Not me, but two good buddies had it. One will take meds for the rest of his life and the other guy, my age is totally cured??? Amazing what is out there. Good luck and keep posting......jk

I have a rescue Shih-tzu that has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Every so often he gets so he can hardly walk. When that happens, which is maybe once a year, we give me a slight dose of prednisone. He's back to normal within 24 hours.
It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.

The Federal biological weapons laboratory on Long Island Sound. Do you have any further valid information to corroborate this claim ? w

From what I understand, Lymes has been around a long time here on the east coast, it's just people and medicine didn't know what it was, suffice to say, longer than Plum Island.
If your friends can't eat red meat it's probably not Lymes but another infection from Lone Star ticks.
