My mother and father both came from small families, one (father) from Washington,D.C. and one (mother) from Montgomery, Alabama. Because of this, I only had 17 first cousins. I grew up in Idaho, thousands of miles away from my cousins. Basically, I knew one of my cousins.

this is restively small I guess compared to some of the families in Green county , where they just advertise the family reunion in the news paper and what park it is at.

I am not even sure anymore...we are not a close family and a lot of them have died or whatever. I come from a long, proud line of Gypsies and horse thieves.

My dads side it is well over 75. I'm actually the youngest on my dads side. He was the youngest of 10.

My grandfather was also a bit of a "frollicker". My dad estimates he has some where around 15-20 half brothers and sisters. I didn't count their children in the above number. If I did that number would be well over 200.

I’m not sure. I’ve only met one or two of them. But, like the majority of the people I’m related to that aren’t my brother, my wife or my children. I haven’t talked to them in about 20 years. So, not sure where they even live or if they are even alive.

On my mom's side, who I spent much more time with, there were only 3.

But my dad had 7 brothers, a couple of which I'd never even met. I have no idea how many kids they have...I know of 4 between 2 brothers, but no clue on the other 5 brothers. Suppose I should find that info out.

Quite a few but I'm not as interested in meeting them since I left Arkansas.

Had 20 with both sides 5 have passed.

I have 54 cousins on my dad's side and 13 on my mom's side.

My dad is one of 11 kids and with 50+ cousins, we had some real bangers for family reunions. Especially after some of us cousins started having kids of our own. We'd rent a whole campground sometimes. A couple years, we rented a whole bible camp in Iowa for a few days. It was a blast, great memories.

I love the way you described your family reunions.

Way too many to count. But I definitely have met all of them. Some of them are a hoot. Others not so much.
