7 bone roast or a round bone roast. My Mom would put a chuck roast in the oven before we went to church Sunday morning and it'd be ready when we got home. They always had a bone in it. The bone adds to the flavor in my opinion.
Anyways, today I can't find a roast with a bone in it. Talked to a grocery store butcher buddy today and he says the roasts are pre-packaged when they come. Bones tend to tear holes in the shrink-wrap so they like to send boneless

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I think chuck can often be the best flavored cut. Makes the absolute tastiest burgers.

My all time favorite is chuck roast. We still have bone in here at stores and locker.

Our chucks have bones. I’ve been smoking a couple now and then. Real close to brisket. Good stuff

Same routine when I was a kid. Unless we had pheasant.

We buy our beef a half at a time. Bone in our chucks. Miss my dads Sunday roast. Slow cooked in the oven with potatoes, carrots and onions!

Same. I'm guessing any actual meat market/butcher shop could do a bone in roast though.

Beef roast with carrots, celery. potatoes, onions is one of my daughters favorites. Solid comfort food.

Lately the instant pot has taken the reigns over oven or crockpot.

No doubt about, bone in adds to the flavor. I think most meat is that way. Pork chops are another example where bone in is more flavorful than boneless.

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

Most all stores buy already packaged meat.

You need to find independent sources that cut it for you. Either a private meat market, or send the cow to the processor and fill out how you'd like it cut.
