walleyed has come into the possession of a set of giant Barkstone castor glands that might weigh over two pounds !!!
Do castor buyers buy these mutated freak glands like they do castor glands that are of regular condition ?
They are hard as a brick with a very thin outer membrane with no liquid of any kind inside them.
One side of the set is 4 X times the size of the other !!!
Any helpful advice is appreciated.

I sell them right along with the other castors. No deduction or added value either. Personally, I wonder whether mineralized castor is as good as regular...have my doubts.

Make a set of earrings out of them and lure those cuties out of St. Lawrence County! No chance, The bigger of the two glands would tear an ear off from the weight. There's a Cutie up in St. Lawrence County ?

PCR wanted me to share this set with you walleyed, he said he’s caught a few like this so far. Is that a softball ? Mine's bigger but that one is more balanced, side to side !!! Wish I had a digital photo I could get posted. It is a flippin' freak set of castor gigantor !!! w

Obviously there is something wrong to cause that type of calcification. I often see it in just one side as if a duct was plugged or something. Maybe it's something akin to kidney stones in humans.

I caught my fair share of beaver but never got one. I'd certainly be pleasantly surprised to get one.
Has anyone ground and used one of these for lure yet?

I've sold a few of them, it's usually one side.

He said he’s already made lure out of it, going to give me some.
Eh...wot?
