Just looking for some advice on how to cut standard firebrick to fit in a woodstove. The bricks are from Vogelzang at Menards. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

tile saw works well

just your run of the mill wet tile saw you can rent them or buy them for not a lot

I have fully replaced once and partial replaced a few a year after getting the stove it was a used stove and had a few cracked ones

Ace will order in boxes of fire brick also for people looking.

do it when it is warm out I put it off too long last time it was 40 outside and I am cutting brick and getting soaked so that they can dry and get installed for the heating season which had basically already started at that point.

good fair weather project

I bought a cheap Skil wet tile saw that I use. I friend of mine just uses a hand grinder.

a thin diamond angle grinder blade also works , you want to mark it and cut it from both sides with that as it doesn't cut real deep

it makes a lot of dust

if you know any tile layers or stone masons and you marked the cuts they could probably cut them for you for a case of beer easily in 5 minutes.

I would loan you my tile saw but it probably isn't worth the drive to southern WI

An angle grinder with a concrete cutting blade is what I am trying next. I have a guy with a concrete cutting saw but he is hard to get a hold of, it works well, obviously.

The dust is real bad for your lungs so do it wet or use good protection.

Masonry chisel and a hammer. No need to cut.
