I'm glad to see it is not a Kei truck.
If it was a Kei truck , you would never see it meet current model year D.O.T. specs.

It has a chance here , would love to see it in the U.S. market. Too many overdone , overpriced pickups for sale here.

I feel certain that Ford and GM will spend tons of money to insure that there is some regulatory bull crap put in place to keep it out of the US market.

But it's not 4x4.
If it were, I'd be the first in line.

It will be an option in the future I'm betting.

Beyond emissions, safety regs, and the chicken tax (25% on vehicle made over seas) will likely keep ift from being sold here

That is one ugly truck
And it looks like it would get stuck in 8 inches of snow.

Wet grass will get it stuck it 2 wheel drive. Got to have the right tool for the job. I can only remember 8" if snow maybe 3 times in my life. Been getting by with a 2wd little truck for 3 years now got to know how to drive and your tools limits. 2 wd stinks but as I get older I do like 2wd hight. Easier to get things out of the bed, don't have to lift them as high to load, easier to get in and out of. I don't need high ground clearance anymore but the added traction of a locker and front wheels pulling would be nice

That looks like the mini Datsun vehicle companies have inside factories for maintenance crews to ride around in.

Guys I saw a number of mid sized trucks while in Mexico last December I never saw in the states. The U.S. work truck industry is crazy expensive...these greenie emissions are limiting what they can build and what we can afford to drive.

I used to have the truck that would’ve been right up your alley. 2004 Silverado, powered by a tornado, 4x4. It drove like a Cadillac and was really low compared to my old 97 F150. I called it my “grandpas truck”. Went through heck and back and I drove it into the ground. Sold it for a grand to a buddy who’ll slowly part it out.
