That might fit through the restriction gates in the National Forest like a S/S will that could be handy if the traction could be improved.

That's how I feel about the diesel Helix. Maybe find a totaled Tacoma the same year to buy and swap the vin so it can be licensed . Or buy one in Mexico and drive it up may be cheaper than the shipping.

Here we put scooter plates on the Kei trucks that other states won’t plate for the road.

These are similar to a Mahindra truck that almost made it to the US some years ago, Heavy duty, 4 cyl diesel 4x4. They were about to set up US dealers when the federal emissions tripped them up.
Instead of spending millions to try and get it passed, they just said the heck with it and focused on the Asian market.... Too bad, a little ugly, but simple and cheap.

Local dealer (Sioux Falls) has a Land Cruiser pickup in their showroom but it’s not for sale from the looks of it expensive display item seems like a waste of a truck more along these lines.

It's all so the owner can get one because he wants it a d also make it a tax wright off.ther is no reason to take up space and time up capital on a product you can't sell so is my conclusion as to why it's there . Probably avoided the chicken tax some how also.

It might start at $12,000 but you put 4x4 in it and some basic options and I'll bet it hits $20 pretty quick. Still better price than most trucks today.

The ford courier was made by Mazda.

Yes I know. There were several here in town and it was handy that so many parts between the Currier and and the old Mazda's would interchange
