I was on my way to Hilton Head island on another work trip when 10 miles from the start, I get a low fuel pressure warning and the truck stops. A friendly guy towed me the 200 yards to a Dollar tree parking lot where I did a quick trouble shooting session and I am pretty sure its the fuel left pump under the chassis. So ordered a new one there and then, called a tow truck to get the thing home and am now out of action till the new pump gets here. So in my frustration I made a spud and peeled a couple of logs and will saw some lumber in the morning. The missus has to go to PA next Friday to house sit for the kids who are going on a trip to iceland. and I have to fix a couple of boats before she goes as one of us has to be here on the homestead with the animals. Talk about lousy timing.

My wife would say take a bath with cinnamon and sugar. When bad luck is falling in your lap.

Crap. I hate when things break that you have no warning or control over. Plus to leave you stranded. Luckily it was close to home.


I could see it now.......Scuba breaks down halfway to Hilton Head , then he MacGyver's a 6 gal OMC boat gas tank on the roof of the truck fed into gravity feed to the engine........makes it there and impresses the crap out of us.......lol

This is the first time in my life that one of my vechiles ended up on a tow truck. I rebuilt the front end of my Dodge truck in a Lowes parking lot ..... Put the bushings I had to change out behind the drinks in the fridge at the cash register of lowes to shrink them a bit to make them easier to install. Swapped the starter on the same truck in front of NAPA as they wanted the core lol
