On my big lot of xl's and bigger I averaged $37.67 before commissions taken out. A little less than I did at Idaho but very happy with it. This batch of beaver had a lot more damage for whatever that's worth.
On a smaller lot of 11 L's and smaller I averaged $18.75
(And the $41/lb on 25 lbs of castor has me happy too).
Commission is 6% for OTC Too bad you couldnt have got them up to North Bay,BP. That castor price looks promising compared to the 25cad that the groney guy is paying here

Tony, it’s your birthday present. lol BP, you did good, you got time to catch another 100.? I'm probably 100 miles away from untouched beaver areas now with season ending on the 15th of the month. Have to take my wife for a Doctor appointment tomorrow.... then I'll see what I can get going. 100 seems like a pretty tall order at this point.

North, is that Canadian dollars? Most of the association sales here seem to have castor in the $20-$30 range USD.

Remember there has been a long drawn out dispute between Boco and Gibb (NE Ontario rep for GFW) that is boiling over especially if someone keeps spreading false rumours.

I've got 14 lbs of pretty nice castor in North Bay right now. If only 10% goes as #1 it will bring the Irish out in me. LOL

Caught up with a giant brood female today.. got the male a while back. Got permission on the other property to get closer to the lodge just this week and got her on the first night over the property line. Also a nice run on a saltwater creek on our black rats. Had a few normal browns too.

I went and scrolled down on the CNTA; He does state his new price offer is 45 a pound cad. That is still 10 bucks less than what BP just got Guess he will have to raise it again-or maybe not.
I will wait and see what the auction gets for theirs, then I will go sell some direct at FHA next run thru North Bay. Selling direct-no shrinkage and 2 grades 1 and 2.

Those black rats are awesome Mud. Only caught one black rat in my life back around '70. Until I moved here Boco, same.. I had caught 1. Here, depending on the saltwater creek, it’s over 50%. Some much higher than 50. Numbers aren’t there really but the colors make it worth it. Had a long paddle today and the wind came up on the open bay at 20 knots. Made for a long uncomfortable nautical paddle back.

I remember the one I caught years ago,jet black on the back and pure silver belly.
