I'm still new to certain things in trapping. I haven't sold to a fur buyer before and am considering it. So far I've just been keeping the furs for myself (I love fur hence why I trap) but stuff like skunks I don't care much for and I seem to get at least 1 or 2 every year, sometimes more. It'd be nice to sell enough to at least pay for my annual license every year. Skunks obviously are not desirable to deal with skinning, would be nice to skip that and just sell the whole carcass if possible. Most skunks spray too when you catch them. Are there people that buy whole carcasses like that? Or do they all have to be skinned?

If so I'm not sure who in MN would buy them. I'm also kind of wondering if there's more buyers around the Duluth/Cloquet area. I've been trying to look up fur buyers and so far the closest one I found listed is in Jacobson. Which isn't a horrible distance but a little bit of a drive from where I am. Would be nice if there was someone closer.

Yes, Carlson furs is in Jacobson. There are a handful of buyers in MN and some run routes in the Spring buying furs. I wouldn't expect to get rich selling green skunks but it is a place to get rid of them anyway.
