We also have inclement weather headed our way. RIvers are supposed to shoot up about 7 feet by Sunday so tomorrow gotta pull the line. BTW, luckily my boat and equipment were all safe and sound at the dock yesterday morning and was able to load my boat and take it home at the end of the day. Eight beaver, a ninth was 8 ft underwater wrapped around a submerged tree limb...going to try to get it picked up at low tide. I hate swimming for beaver hookups like that. Had to one time last year.

Was waiting on your boat report BP. I'm glad it worked out for you. Going to limp that impeller the last stretch this year or did you get it changed?

I blasted some air through the pee-hole and going to see if that works. Will find out tomorrow.

Gerry and I did a little scouting, Gerry says I bet there’s beaver in this house, there he goes. I was at this old cabin with my dad over 40 years ago As luck would have it the boss asked me if I wanted a week off, Duh.

Nice beavers and really cool old cabin and bridge. We’re just getting ready to head up to our off grid camp. Haven’t been there much this year. Been renovating the house.
The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

NF, it's been nasty and rainy most of the night and morning. Snow coming later. I got one . more this morning and now will have some nice time in the barn finishing them up. Is that cabin abandoned? Sure would be a nice to camp to have in a place like that and run a small beaver line. You'd have me packing my bags one day for a trapping visit

Sometimes trapping tidewater adds a little diversity to the catch. I set my 330’s just below high tide but during low tide they’re out of the water 4-6 ft. Was surprised to pull up the cable and see that fox! 11 beaver, 3 otters and 1 grey fox today. Lost two traps to high water. Rained a bunch last night.

Way to BP, you trapped those even when the chips were against you. That grey was an added bonus. First grey I ever caught I was running traps before school. Had two sets in a little farm pond for coon/muskrat/mink they were both set in about 2 inches of water. Had a girl I like walking to school with me on the line. She says looks like something floating. It was a grey caught in the water and drowned.
