Interesting stuff. After reading the article, a part of me is gratified knowing that these retailers/designers understand the concept that micro-plastic use in faux fur is much more damaging than using real fur. On the other hand, it's disappointing that these industry people and their consumers still don't grasp (or want to grasp) the idea that wild animal populations are a sustainable resource in and of themselves. Trapping and killing these wild animals IS sustainable. They don't need to focus on only using recycled (upcycled) fur because each year wild animals will have to die anyhow. They will either die of natural causes or will need to be controlled by humans if their populations are out of control or if they're impeding on our human ways of life. I think there's still hope for the fur industry in general if the idea of animal population sustainability, not animal cruelty, is recognized by more people.
