In case you dont know what its about, we gather in a room right in the middle of the House of Representative's offices, right in front of the elevators, we have great visibiltiy to legislators. We will have a display table in the lobby with tanned fur. You dont have to be a MTA member to come. Its about preserving trapping in Minnesota. There will be lots of trappers there to visit with. Legislators will come and check out the display table, some will give short speeches, some will stay and talk for a while if they have time. Some stayed a considerable amount of time last year. We're expecting a great turnout again this year. Its getting late to make meetings with your legislators, but it can stiil happen. Its worth a try. Just email both your state Senator and your House of Representatives member. You can also call their offices, an assistant will answer. Tell them you are a constituent, are going to be at the Capital on March 12 and would like a 15 minute meeting to discuss a bill.(SF1316 for your senator or HF1299 and HF945 for House members). I or someone else can go with you to the meeting if you want. No need to be nervous. But even if you cant get a meeting, come anyway. Lets fill the room with trappers. It's imperative that we do this. It would be nice if we could get a couple hundred trappers here, heck even a hundred.

We do a similar thing here in Iowa. It is well worth the effort.

It absolutely is worth the effort. We had a good turnout of both Trappers and Legislators last year.
