Old Milwaukee. 18 bucks for 30 pack at walmart here

Is Milwaukees Best still made? That used to be a decent beverage. Milwaukees Best is some nasty stuff. Old Milwaukee not much better.

The best drink around is take some double run and mix it with Diet Mountain Dew. Now that is cheap and good,

Is Milwaukees Best still made? That used to be a decent beverage. Yes, the light seems more common than the full test. I once went to Lake Powel and stayed on a house boat for a week and did a taste test between Milwaukie's best and Milwaukies best light. After a week we decided the light cans were not quite full.

Go old school: Hamms, PBR, Grainbelt, Schlitz. Take out the C and the L on that last one more like it. But they had really cool cans.

What do ya'll like for cheap drink? Just paid 19.99 for a 30 pk today at the small town grocery store. Stock up when youre somewhere that has it. Another decent choice is the High Life.

Buckhorn, Phieffer's, Blatz, Black Label.....those were Grampa's go to beers....returnable bottles... In 1974 I bought Buckhorn. The regular price was (2) 24 bottle cases for $5.00. I stored it in the unheated stairway to my unheated atttic. A good part of the year that kept the serving temperature just enough below room temp for perfection.

Not to point out the obvious, but anything named "Busch", including natty light, comes out of same vats as Bud Light. Those guys remain dead to me.
Had forgotten about Buckhorn. Along same lines was Champaign Velvet. Once bought a case of CV, a six pack of Old Milwaukee, and got change back from a $5.
May need to start a new thread on old beer brands that have gone away. Stroh's? Falstaff? Olympia?
Don't know current status of Schlitz. At one time, was one of big 3 national brands, along with Bud and Miller. Schlitz went down, only to be revived with rumors that whoever was making it had found some old guy who knew the original recipe. The revised stuff was sold alongside Hamms and at same cheap price. It was pretty good.

Hamm's it is made by miller the spend no marketing time or money on it so it stays less cost.
This was my go-to for years the little liquor store by my house carried it cheap as anywhere.
The beer truck used to pull up on a Wednesday and they unloaded the entire hall stacked floor to chin high against the wall with bush and bush light it would be warm in the hall way back to the walk-in where the hamm's was kept cold. the Bush was warm and they would sell that down to knee high or lower by Sunday night at the time it was 5 dollars a 30rack or Bush or Bushlight than the 30 of hamm's Hams is 8.3carbs per 12oz
Now I drink Miller light about $21 a 30 rack or case of bottles 3.2carbs per 12oz
Montucky as my brother calls it "the best beer available under 20dollars a 30 rack" 4.95carbs per 12oz

I always thought Old Milwaukee was rotgut beer. It was cheap, but very harsh to swallow.

I can't say I've ever bought beer for the taste. Would be fine with a 10.00$ buzz as a 20.00$ one. Once I've had 3, they all taste the same.

that might be a sign of alcoholism if you only drink for the buzz. I have 1-3 a night , no buzz at all I just enjoy beer besides coffee and water it is about all I drink.

Was going to ask about Rolling Rock. Can remember having a few of those and remember them being pretty good. But on a hunch, looked it up and lo and behold.....now owned by AB / InBev. No joy to be found there, but that may be the case more than we know. No telling who owns what and whose pocket you are lining with every six pack bought. If you are tough enough to wade thru it, this Wiki offers a pretty good case study / summary of everything wrong with the beer industry........and how the wizards of smart in Corp American screw things up. If you can understand the language they speak, they don't make beer for their loyal consumers to drink. They make product to sell. Big difference. The guys in Nashville now running corporate country have done the same thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympia_Brewing_Company

Hard to find, but pretty good if you can.
Point
Looks like they dodged one bullet (sold, but bought back), and have gone over to the dark side.......ales and ciders.......but for now anyway, still and option for the woke aware consumer.
