Yea, I know some haven't had a drink for 17 yrs now but I like beer. Busch Light is up to $26 for a 30 pk and I'm looking for a change. My nephew likes Natural Light which is pretty cheap I think. What do ya'll like for cheap drink? Just paid 19.99 for a 30 pk today at the small town grocery store. Stock up when youre somewhere that has it. Another decent choice is the High Life.

Buckhorn, Phieffer's, Blatz, Black Label.....those were Grampa's go to beers....returnable bottles... In 1974 I bought Buckhorn. The regular price was (2) 24 bottle cases for $5.00. I stored it in the unheated stairway to my unheated atttic. A good part of the year that kept the serving temperature just enough below room temp for perfection.

Not to point out the obvious, but anything named "Busch", including natty light, comes out of same vats as Bud Light. Those guys remain dead to me.
Had forgotten about Buckhorn. Along same lines was Champaign Velvet. Once bought a case of CV, a six pack of Old Milwaukee, and got change back from a $5.
May need to start a new thread on old beer brands that have gone away. Stroh's? Falstaff? Olympia?
Don't know current status of Schlitz. At one time, was one of big 3 national brands, along with Bud and Miller. Schlitz went down, only to be revived with rumors that whoever was making it had found some old guy who knew the original recipe. The revised stuff was sold alongside Hamms and at same cheap price. It was pretty good.

Hamm's it is made by miller the spend no marketing time or money on it so it stays less cost.
This was my go-to for years the little liquor store by my house carried it cheap as anywhere.
The beer truck used to pull up on a Wednesday and they unloaded the entire hall stacked floor to chin high against the wall with bush and bush light it would be warm in the hall way back to the walk-in where the hamm's was kept cold. the Bush was warm and they would sell that down to knee high or lower by Sunday night at the time it was 5 dollars a 30rack or Bush or Bushlight than the 30 of hamm's Hams is 8.3carbs per 12oz
Now I drink Miller light about $21 a 30 rack or case of bottles 3.2carbs per 12oz
Montucky as my brother calls it "the best beer available under 20dollars a 30 rack" 4.95carbs per 12oz
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

And what is current status of Old Style? I still get it at hyvee, that and PBR, if I’m in the mood for a light beer I go to keystone light.

I always thought Old Milwaukee was rotgut beer. It was cheap, but very harsh to swallow.
My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.
