Been on the lookout for a good all weather l, stainless/synthetic deer rifle as everything I have is either nice hardwood stock/blued, or matte finish with synthetic stock, I don't even like taking my cerakote bergara out in the rain/snow. Well, a friend of mine works with a guy that had a rifle for sale and I just couldn't help myself when he stopped by so I could take a look at it. Weatherby vanguard stainless/synthetic in .257 weatherby mag, already has a muzzle break and a vortex crossfire 2 4-12x44, and came with a box and a half of factory ammo, only ever had half a box fired through it. Best part is, I've already got a mark v fibermark in the same caliber, so I'm already setup to reload for it! Now to get some rounds worked up and go see how it shoots!

Isn't your Fibermark sort of an "All Weather" rifle? I had a Weatherby in 257 Bee years ago. It was brutal on whitetail and left me chasing blood spots on elk.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Not in my mind. It is a synthetic stock, but it has a very nice blued finish that I don't prefer to take out in nasty weather
