Today's the first day of ramp.selling season for us.

I also have farm.fresh eggs for sale and a few commercially produced ramp items..like ramp mustard and ramp barbecue sauce for sale.

They're produced by a wv veteran commercially and the ramps he uses come from us.

Calvin, thw guy that makes the products was our first ramp.customer and he regularly buys from us weekly.

We"re hoping for a repeat of last season..right at 18,000 In about 5 weeks.

Wish us luck!

Good luck guys! Jerry and Cathryn remind me a lot of the good ol' days when all us country folk were out wildcrafting stuff and trapping to make ends meet.

The first time I had ramps was at Cass WV, I was mid fifties. I brought some home and a friend of my grand daughter ate all my ramps. I have pickled them many times. Do you think dehydrating them would give a better flavor? Do you sell them any where near I79?

Bother told me today that ramps are up here.
Have to go look for myself!

I bought some land last year in WV. Its about 5 min from Riggs place, I just met his dad a couple weeks ago. Local stores were out of ramp mustard. Stopped in his place for a jar. Hour and a half later we left with a bunch of stuff and his dad gave us a tour.

Dehydrating makes the flavor more intense, imo.

I just checked on mine today. They're the ones you sent me last year. I can't believe that you're ahead of me in WV but you sure are. I checked on them a week ago and only found 2 that were just breaking ground. Today I only checked the nearest patch of them, but there was about 6-7 of them... most of them just barely peeking up. I'll give it another week and then check both patches... by then I should be able to tell how many of them survived.

Does the guy that sells the ramp mustard and stuff have a website?
