...to become the judge and jury?
My training and 27 years of law enforcement experience taught me that investigators gather the facts of the case and charge/arrest for the crime if probable cause is determined...OR....the investigator presents the facts of the case to a grand jury and they decide to indict or no bill.
What has happened to the CJ system in our country?

What has happened to the CJ system in our country?
its been weaponized against political enemies, thought everyone knew that. I've resisted that for my entire career but it has been very obvious past few years that politics has seriously infiltrated LE and justice. Sad time for our Country...

It become more about winning than the truth. Both sides of the aisle are guilty but the left lacks any pretense of morality about it. Most of us are still under the impression that the first duty should be to the truth.

Wonder how it would've went if I caught 2 old guys committing same violation at same time and I decided to charge one and not charge the other because he had a bad memory.

SMDH! Don't forget hillary.yes she broke the law but she did not mean to so no charges. Besides she set the server up to avoid oversight, the tried to have it wiped before turning it over finally. They claim she didn't mean to break the law so no charges. Meanwhile a sailor takes a few pictures so his woke can see where he works when away from months at a time and he get kicked out of the navy and put in jail.

When Hillary was allowed to go through her own evidence and destroy what she wanted to and still managed to violate the law and nothing happened, Then the Epstein Island list just disappeared from the world never to become public, now Joe who made choices when he was at full capacity but now won’t be charged but their enemies end up in court every week.
The system is rigged and they don’t even try to hide the corruption now it a different world and rules for different folks today.
