About 35+ years ago very early in my turkey hunting career I shot a hen that gobbled (albeit horrible sounding) all the way in. I actually thought it was a Jake and I know, I know always see the beard. Never experienced it since
but did shoot a bearded hen several years later.

I had it happen once. She got so worked up trying to find the other hen that was talking back to her that it came out as a jumbled mess, but it was a gobble.

Shot a gobbling hen about 20 years ago here in Wisconsin. She was bearded, too. She was gobbling in the morning up in a tree behind me. Not gobbling very well but gobbling for sure. Called her into the field I was sitting on the edge of. I figured I did not need any more turkeys under my belt but always wanted to nail a bearded hen so I took her. Felt kind of bad afterwards as she had eggs developing inside of her. First and last one I will take.

One year we had a crow mimicking gobbling on another farm.
