Most of it is or at least was recently produced in Thailand. However, in Thailand it is illegal to smoke it.
I have heard that smoking it will get you really high for a short period of time, and then you puke your guts out. Sounds like lots of fun.

I'm not sure why our society has such an obsession with drugs/alcohol in general. When the government bans one drug a new one will always pop up. I honestly feel bad for the people man, it seems like not many people can just enjoy their lives being sober- especially from my generation.

Quick, let's outlaw it and expand the police state to enforce it.

(BTW, never used it, I have no plans to either. Drugs are for losers. But freedom is awesome, even when it means freedom to do something I don't like.)

Problem is that it doesn't affect just them. Not by any means. 100,000 dead last year from opioids. Cities are in ruins, drug addicted homeless living in the streets. Civilized people can't even go to the stores anymore, walk the streets in safety, or even live in their own homes without fear. Politicians throwing our tax money at the issue. So, YES, IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. It affects everyone, especially those that don't do drugs. Your freedom ends when your actions affect my freedom.

I assume, then, that since there's well over 150,000 deaths per year from alcohol abuse, that alcohol should also be outlawed.

I believe if alcohol could be made illegal it would be. Our government has tried to make it illegal before but failed at doing so, it's just too easy to make, leave an orange outside for long enough and you have alcohol. It would benefit our society if all mind-altering substances were made illegal, it's hard to argue that they make our world a better place, it's just unrealistic to do so.
