I have 4 hen call ducks in the same pen. If they all hatch babies at roughly the same time will the babies stay with the correct mommas? Will some mommas try to claim babies that aren't theirs..

Might be fun watching! When we were kids my brother got some duck eggs from a neighbor and put them under a broody hen. She hatched then and everything was fine until it had rained one night. The baby ducks jumped in a puddle and the hen cackled until you'd have thought the sky was falling.

I doubt you have too many issues.

The ducklings will imprint and follow on the first thing they see moving, don't let it be you!

Last year I only had 2 hens and they started sitting about the same time. When the first hens eggs hatched the other hen abandoned her nest and claimed the ducklings also. The babies grew up with 2 mommas. I am looking to keep that from happening again.

Don't forget to have a drake in with the hens. If it was me , I'd have nest boxes as far apart as possible. They still might all dump in 1 or 2 nests. When they get broody, make small enclosures around each nest with a setting hen. They will abandon ready to hatch eggs for live ducklings, You'll be happier if you remove each hen with babes to seperate enclosures away the the rest. Just suggestions.

LOL!!!

When I was maybe a first grader that spring mom/dad got me three baby ducklings. It was for a fun thing for me to do and take care of for the summah. Those three thought I was their mom and would follow me all ovah. They would follow me up town and back in a little town of less then 400 folks.

They are great project for a young child and good experience learned.

I rescued a puffball mallard and brought it home. It imprinted on my golden retriever. They used to nap together. Once the duck got too big for me to catch when it escaped the backyard, all I had to was let the dog out the front door then call him back in and the duck came in right behind him.
