He called out the lots if no bids on his valuation went to the next string...... I had top lot at $5.00, if he never hit the hammer down it did not sell. They sold maybe 1/4 of the lots, maybe less...

Walleyed - I agree. You couldn't follow the muskrat auction at all. Very poorly done.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Just saying, I did not see any sell for $7 but they did go quick through the lots as there was not a lot of bids.

X2, could not follow Downey with the lots or price. Fisher were selling very well. I thought otter were weak compared to the country auctions.

Found it more value to put the utube speed at 1.75 play-back speed, especially during the blood-bath of the muskrat auction. Did notice that he bought several lots for himself.
For those that dont know - this video is not saved at the end of the day
play back speed is the little curser under the red line with the GEAR mode -select and then go to speed.

I didn't say I got $7.00 for any rats.

I said I thought I heard $7.00 for top (1st) lot # 001.

I may have been mistaken as Downey blasted thru
the lots so quick without saying anything it was
impossible to make head nor tail out of it.

I never heard him vocalize even one of my lot numbers.

It was a terrible excuse for a rat auction event for following along.

My apologies Walleyed , I guess we will find out eventually. Not what we were all hoping for , I expected good clearances, but I was guessing at firesale prices

I'm happy with the beaver average. Well over $30 with an unusually high number of dinks. I did get lucky and had 1 of the of the $80 blacks. On the flip side, I've had 'rats there for over year with no action. The fur market is strong in limited areas, but seems fragile as a whole.
