330-Trappers post reminded me of this . Really enjoy letting about hunting culture from all over but gotta say I find the driven hunts in Europe I find extremely interesting to compare to us over here . It's not as gody and ultra traditional dressed up as the British but it's also not well.... How we do it laugh just a very cool mix of both modern and traditional, complex and simple. And gotta say the way these guys one shot drop DOA hogs on a dead run blush no shoot em in the big middle and find a blood trail. It's practice practice practice understand the animals anatomy ect .Really admire how they are about that.Anyhow figured someone would enjoy this

The Brits are.. well there obsessed with anything and every thing dog related and just spend a crap load of money on everything they they can . Just a lot of extra pageantry I really don't care for. Alot of the deer stalking guys are really cool but I've had to tell more then one brit they would get either popped in the mouth or just laughed out of where with he way they carry on and their superiority complex most have.

Lot of the Scandinavians I've chatted with have some very interesting deals . Really laid back type of hunting culture. Good bit of tradition but they don't seem to have the FUDD CROWD.

AUSSIES are a mixed bag

In 1967 I was stationed in Turkey in the Army. We went boar hunting several times. I shot two. The Turks were our guides but they couldn't touch or eat them due to their beliefs. Anyway, the local farmers were more than glad to let us hunt due to the crop damage the boars did. Fond memories.
