Here's some beaver porn for ya BP. Hope this helps you with your fix. If we lived close I'd even let you skin them! Picked up another 6 today to add to yesterday's

Using castor sets?

BP, I had those beaver drying for an hour along side the barn and the wind was just a blowing lol
I had eight sets out out 6-330's and 2-vic dls.
Couple sets had castor
A few with just poplar sticks
And both dls connected with just Birch oil on a Q-tip. I put those two sets at spots I had previously set with educated square shy beaver. Those beaver had also already seen castor mounds and would have nothing to do with them. One was a very large male and the other a big pregnant female.

You're quite the sophisticated beaver man Dale! For years I've just made castor mound sets on top of fresh activity and 2-3 checks and move on. Never worried about any trap shy beaver as I caught enough no matter.

NF, six it is. Boy that one looks like a tank. It's got quite the paddle on it. That 750 bracelet sure looks pretty on it.
We keep teasing BP he's liable to make the 2500 mile run and join us

HA! Youse guys are killing me!
Dang nice looking beavers. Maybe you should get ahold of wy wolfer and get the big money for them. And I'll talk to Mike about that and see what he says. Last I heard he's hoping for dust bowl beavers to show up dispersed by the wind.

You're quite the sophisticated beaver man Dale! For years I've just made castor mound sets on top of fresh activity and 2-3 checks and move on. Never worried about any trap shy beaver as I caught enough no matter. Most of my trapping is in small cricks, ditches and ponds that have overflowed into grape vineyards, corn, beans or farm roads. They turn into a sprawling mess. The farmers lands that I trap on want complete eradication if possible. Sometimes im in after their cousin or inlaw caught one or two and educated the rest. Some times their all shot up. Ive got three this year that had shot in them and one that had a piece of copper bullet in its crippled up shoulder. You have to come up with some different set ups to catch some of these old beat up veterans of the the farm ditches. I'd love to ride along on a line like yours but would have to speed up my put up or buy a couple of freezers. I'm slow and steady doing my finish work. I couldn't even fathom doing the numbers you do. NF is right you'd be a little bored with our style. But a bet you would love it. Nothing better than being outdoors doing what we love.
