Got 3 today BP, here's one for ya This one visited my 330 baited with a poplar stick 4 nights in a row and took the stick each time. I put the stick in a different spot every day. Even push one in a foot and he ripped it out and took it without getting caught. So I decided I'd do the under ice trick and bait the trigger. As you see he couldn't resist

[quote=080808]Turtledale. What’s the tool ? On the beaver on the right?[/quote Those are my 330 setters, heavy duty. As you see I painted those yellow. I lost the ones I painted bright orange The yellow part are the handles, off set so you don't pinch your hands. I believe they are Freedom brand. I bought from F&T

So got my beaver oil extraction work done. Ended up with 67 oz of oil and 36 lbs of extracted sacs from 300 beaver. (Sold or used for myself another 3 lbs earlier).
All in all I grossed just over $1 per beaver on the oil sacs/oil.

Yes you do. I would sure consider the FHA route with what I saw for prices on the sheareable types this last sale. But then again, I think you did just fine at the Herkimer sales too.

NF, those two beaver on the boards look like twins. Even the coni strike mark. Nice job.
I'm having the same same question in my head about selling. I have a country buyer, who bought most of my fur at auction. Or FHA pickup ten miles from my house on April 13. I do have quite a bit of smaller and bit up pelts this time around. I'm thinking FHA will pay considerably less for these than my country buyer but more for the nicer larger pelts. Always a gamble as you say BP not sure if I'll roll the dice with FHA or not. Question for FHA sales...... After pelts are sold how long till you get a check approximately?
