Made paska with my grandfathers bread pan today, my sister, my wife, my granddaughter, my nephew. We had a nice day.

We made lots of Easter bread, the Italian version, unfortunately most everyone is gone now, or moved away, and the tradition has passed.... I hope those who still make whatever version your people made can pass it on to future generations...Happy Easter.

Nessmuck, yes we make it every Easter, my grandfather passed the recipe and his pan to my dad, and he passed it to me. We used around 7lbs of flour for the loaf .

We never made Easter bread, but there was a grocery store regional chain in western NY called Tops and they made Italian style Easter breads every year with the dyed eggs in them which we would always buy. They don't sell those down here. I made a couple last year, but never got around to it this year.

My grandfather was from Russia , I think polish folks call it bobka.

Thanks for sharing newfox. My relatives were Rusyn (southern poland), and made Paska. Unfortunately, the tradition passed with my ancestors.
