What caliber rifle SwampWolf ? Can you load a big bullet and line em up for a 2 for 1 shot ? .223/5.56 Most of my shots will be 150 yds or less...most less than 100 yds. Slightly under the ear it is....

I have only been hog hunting one time. I pulled the trigger on my .270 one time and killed a sow and about a 40 lb piglet that was behind her. Both double lung. The other 20 were out of sight in a couple of seconds.

I’ve never shot them with anything but my bow but watched a guy on a video lining them up and killing two at a time with a big bore of some kind. It made for good watching. I've killed em with arrows, buckshot, slugs, and rifle bullets. I've never had access to a property with as many hogs as I do now.....so it's gonna be a short spring and summer....lol...havin' fun.

Bait that spot up!!! You’ll be able to shoot every other night when they’re there. Still waiting for some to show back up on our place. Gotta hold off on the bait until turkey season ends.

Shoot a couple scare rest off, makes it tough on us trying to trap whole sounders, get rid of ALL of them at once, problem solved. Laid them down summer before last, couldn't hardly find one last summer now all of a sudden all over the place again, going to be a busy spring/summer for me IF i ever get all these dern beaver problems out of the way.

That works for hogs that ain’t trap shy. Once they get that way you’ll shoot, run dogs, or anything else to get rid of them. You shoot one, two, or three and wait, they’ll come back within 10-15min. Don’t move from your spot, don’t use lights, just chill out and scan or wait for the camera to go off again. Afterwards don’t make a ruckus getting them out and stay out until they show back up. May take 1 day or 3, but they show back up. Traps work great for getting hogs that have never seen a trap, and we start off using that. But if you have multiple sounders using a bait site at different times you have to pick which ones to catch. If the others or any other hogs sees the pigs in the trap…they’re now educated. It’s easy to watch on camera and know the sows that have seen a trap before. Any pig gets inside and she apparently makes some sort of sound to get them out. Maybe a PigBrig might work, but I’ve read as many bad reviews as good. But still I think some on the outside would notice they can’t get out. When you have issues you’ll do whatever it takes to get rid of them. Shot 33 between Aug-Oct last year and ain’t got a pig on the place…and it’s depressing.
