I'm guessing during pro football season only scores can be posted, without discussion, since professional football has become clearly political....

Can James be a moderator on the politics forum?

A moderator is not needed since there can be no replies, which means no arguing.

I can't see how it would be a forum of any pretense, really, it seems to be more of a let off steam expression area, forums are reactionary by replies from others to keep things either moving along or in this case a death knell in a matter of minutes sometimes...I can understand not wanting any replies, but how do you control a continued mass of remarks or additions to a previous statement and not have that be a reply ?

But if any thing just by the replies here show's that it can't be taken seriously !

Folks were saying they come here for their daily news. That forum is to fill that void, not to have a discussion.

While I understand the rule it is a shame that we can't discuss politics in a civil manner. The Founders generation were well versed in such matters which led to the creation of this great nation. I guess nowadays with the inability to discuss such matters civilly, and not just on t-man, the opposite will occur. Oh well, at least we have sports.

Can you turn editing on? I don't usually get everything right on the first try.

There's not a toggle for a person to just edit their own posts. The only toggle is for someone to edit any post.

Just my 2 cents, or perhaps 2 sense: When folks can post anonymously, especially in regard to politics, things tend to get nasty really fast.

If people behave like a child why should they not be treated like a child? I appreciate the lack of drama and nonsense. Stick to the purpose of the site or don't visit. It seems quite simple to me. Thanks to Bossman and the mods.

As someone who used to love posting on the political threads here, I have to say that almost every political thread made the members here behave like children. Usually I can have a political debate without lowering my standards enough to start insulting people and calling them names, but that appears not to be the case for a large number of posters on here.

If political threads make people act like children, maybe they need to be treated like them.
