I really had no idea they were that big. Yuk. They look like a couple of red onions. We have a huge skunk compared to most other places some up to 16 pounds.

$$. With a decent pelt, that'll beat a prime western heavy coyote!
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

$$. With a decent pelt, that'll beat a prime western heavy coyote! This one had issues they are turning black now the leather on a female a few days ago had noticeable black leather. Today’s male had skin issues and weak spots. Soon the tick fest will start but tails, skulls and juice will still work.

Those critters are simply amazing. The most quill I got off of one was 2 oz. and our skunks aren't as big as your are Jerry. Good money makers if you can handle the smell!

I love skunks too Law Dog, those are some huge pods. Always money to be made with them. I'm like you, the smell doesn't bother me, in fact I like it.

Big male today not a huge skunk but he was loaded for his size a tad over 2 oz of juice but the syringe was maxed out on each pod 35 ml or it might of been a bit more then that. Bottle was less then 1/2 full before I tapped the set of pods the last 2 skunks were loaded both out of the same cage. only a trapper lol

It’s going to be tough to hit 100 ounces this year after the last die off but they look good this spring they are still carrying fat and not dehydrated like some years. I should have that 100 ounce amount by now I’m at 16 ounces but they are prolific breeders they will bounce back.

Caught one in a MB550 this winter while coyote trapping. My buddy wanted to shoot it with his .17 from a distance so as not to get sprayed - is there a better way to dispatch without destroying the fur?
It had a big, beautiful white stripe and I would have liked to try skinning it. Sounds like the juices are worthwhile, too, not that I’d know what I’m doing! Double long never in the head
