I used to want one until I saw my first Ford ranger
The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

I was interested in them when they came out. Then I looked at them in person. They look like a great capable rig for sure esp if they have lockers. 15 years ago I would have really wanted one. But today I want more bed space. The lights in the bed seem nice but I know I would destroy the plastic covers on them when using it as a truck.
I would love to take one through it's paces and see what all it can do. I'm sure I would be impressed. I know I always liked my jeeps and even the small bed would be a big improvement over the wrangler.
I always wanted a cj8. But again limited bed space but awesome for getting around and still nice utility.
I guess that's why they make so many vehicles. Different ones for different task.
Nice truck any plans for a winch?
Plan on putting a winch on this summer.

The longer wheel base was a huge improvement over the old jeep wranglers. Depends on application. It's worse going in and out of ditch, steep angles and humps where longer will high center and many off road situations.. yet in others like mud it may be better longer having 2 wheels not in the slop vs all 4 in the slop at once. Pros and cons to everything.

Don't go off the road on ice like the jeep wranglers used to do with their short wheel base. With the jeep wranglers when you hit ice you was going around.

![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/04/full-320-214970-img_0727.jpeg) I like mine even better than the 98 ranger I had. Lots of room in the cab. Would not do for an all around farm/ranch pickup but trapping and hunting its great. Mines a 2021 . I speced it out online. Got the stuff I wanted and did not have to buy the stuff I didn’t. Same way I ordered mine as well.
