So far, the Dans I picked up are worth the $. Right now they’re still so stiff the usually stand on their own. I pulled em out of the box right away.

I had a new pair that stayed in the box for 2 years before I used them and they were fine. I figure they are boxed at the factory and stay that way for who knows how long before someone buys them. I'm not certain about this, but I think when they are boxed they are kind of rolled at the fold without a hard crease. Yes I notice that they are kinda rolled without a hard crease

I never thought to look at mfg code. Great idea, I finally just washed with sprayer my several pair, old boots an some muded traps , left old boots after washing in sun a half hour to dry an red hot, not good, a half hour of extreme heat on rubber, hope didn't cause any cracking or damage ,left them out to dry while spray off mud on some my traps

I dont know what kind of cheap boots you guys use,but I have several pairs of hip boots I have been using for about 12 or more years and they just get tossed anywhere in the shed on top of my canoe pack or other stuff until I use them again. The only time they get hung up is when I go over the top and they need dried out.
